Africa is Not Poor
We are seeking a visionary, hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Technical Co-Founder to lead the architecture, engineering, and execution of the Africa Is Not Poor™ protocol. You will partner directly with our CEO, Roberta Masondo, transforming elite organizational governance framework models into a scalable, enterprise-grade B2B FinTech platform.
- Architecture Design: Design and build the secure, scalable financial APIs and data processing systems required to route institutional capital and process alternative credit metrics.
- Protocol Development: Build the digital identity (KYC/AML) and data framework that turns informal trust networks into machine-readable financial scores.
- Team Building: Recruit, lead, and manage a lean team of back-end, security, and mobile engineers.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure total data protection compliance and robust encryption standards aligned with central bank regulations (e.g., SARB) and international financial data laws.
FinTech Infrastructure: Extensive experience building secure APIs, transaction engines, or core banking middleware.
Data Engineering: Background in building risk scoring engines, alternative credit scoring models, or machine learning underwriting algorithms.
Web3 / Identity (Highly Desirable): Experience with Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), verifiable credentials, or blockchain ledger rails for auditable transactions.
Language/Framework Proficiencies: Strong background in robust enterprise backends (e.g., Go, Python/Django, Rust, or Node.js) and highly secure cloud architecture (AWS/GCP).
The Grit to Build: You must be a builder willing to write core code in the early stages, not just an executive manager.
Pan-African Vision: A deep, unshakeable passion for rewriting the economic narrative of the African continent through financial engineering.
